InterIslander has confirmed that they will again be sponsoring the Kihikihi International Horse Trial in 2012 and will assist South Island riders wanting to cross the Cook Straight to get to the competition.

InterIslander travel vouchers for $200 will be available to South Island riders by application to the Event Secretary. InterIslander Marketing Associate Liz Sweeney commented “Interislander is once again proud to be involved with the Kihikihi International Horse Trial.”

The Kihikihi International Horse Trial will run from 6-8 April 2012 (Easter weekend) and will include, for the first time, the Senior TransTasman Teams Competition. This will be run as a CIC 3-star alongside the event CIC 3-star class. There will also be CIC 2-star, Open Intermediate, Novice, Open Novice and Pre Novice classes.

Interislander travels between the North and South Islands of New Zealand and is one of the most spectacular cruises in the world. With 92 km of breathtaking views, the three-hour journey between Wellington and Picton really is one of New Zealand’s most iconic tourism activities.
