Showjumper Chloe Van den Boorn is contemplating switching codes after an exhilarating cross country round that saw her and Mirror Bella Molly hold on to their lead in the Magnum Industries CNC105 Amateur class.
“This is our first pre novice and it was just so exciting,” said the 23-year-old from Auckland. “I didn't think we would do this well! I walked the cross country and thought it was very scary but she was just fantastic.”
Van den Boorn has been jumping 10-year-old Mirror Bella Molly up to 1.15m.
“She was just great.”
And while showjumping is clearly the bay horse's forte, Van den Boorn says she may be a little tired for tomorrow's important final phase.
She was given Molly by a friend to sell.
“She was just terrified of her, and I fell in love! She is a great horse.”
Van den Boorn trains with Jaime Campbell, Kirsten Kelly and Chanel Campbell.
“I am so excited, I just hope we can do something special tomorrow.”
